Try creating washes with water based markers! Tombow Dual Brush pens are my favorite, but you can achieve similar effects with other brands as well!
Go back with a marker to add a drop shadow!
Next try a white gel pen with a graphite drop shadow. Doesn’t this just POP off the page??!
