This month we are going to explore using linework in the negative space of your Funky Floral pieces. I love love love exploring the negative space and using it to create gorgeous, creative and surprising layers in my work. I often get stuck in a rut using simple patterns and mandala designs, so today I wanted to explore ways to use LINES.

I’m baaaaaaaaaack! Thank you all SO MUCH for the patience. I hated to miss the last two months of lessons, but I had to give myself a break and accept that I’m not super-woman. So thank you for sticking with me.
Are you tired of me talking about mold? Ugh. Me too. So tired of it, but WOW, what an ordeal that was. Old house + water damage and roof leaks + crazy difficult landlord = Megan sick for 3 months. I’m trying to trust God with why He brought us to this current home… but I’ll be honest, it’s been a little difficult.
We had been settled in a home for 3 years when our landlord decided to sell. Real estate in South Florida is INSANE right now. So finding a new place to rent was super difficult, and there was no way we wanted to buy a home worth $300k for three times that price. So here we are renting in the neighborhood I grew up in… from a bonkers landlord whose house “looks” great - but… air conditioning leaks, roof leaks, broken stove burner, broken toilet, broken dishwasher… it’s just been the opposite of peaceful. BUT - it’s a roof over our heads and so I’m determined to be THANKFUL and trust the Lord.
