Supplies

We will use a variety of supplies in this class, but mostly acrylic craft paints! We will work in both the Interleaved Edition Bible and a traditional margin journaling Bible. You do not need all of these supplies, I suggest watching the videos and deciding what supplies you'd like to try. The entire class can be taken with acrylic craft paints and basic economy paint brushes. You don't have to break the bank!

Bibles:

  • Crossways ESV Interleaved Journaling Bible - here

  • Zondervan NIV "Journal the Word" margin Bible - here

  • Crossways Single Column Journaling Bible - here

 Paints:

  • Acrylic craft paints. My favorite brand is Americana by Deco Art - here (note: I purchase these at Michaels Arts and Crafts for $1.29 each)

  • Golden High Flow acrylics - here (I use these mainly for lettering and fine line details)

  • Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof White - here

 Brushes:

I’m not picky about brushes - they can be pricey! I just recommend having a variety of sizes, both round and flat. If you are looking for a good starter set I recommend Princeton RealValue. As far as small round brushes for lettering, these are my favorites:

  • Royal and Langnickel Zen 3/0 - here

  • DaVinci Cosmotop Spin 3/0 - here

 Pens:

  • Uniball Signo Gel Pen - here

  • Sharpies - here

 Misc:

  • Blick Gel Medium - here

  • Paper scraps and collage materials
